Monetize on-site solar with recurring data center compute revenue. Host enterprise server infrastructure at your site and earn a share of every compute hour sold.
Ocean installs an enterprise-grade GPU server at your solar-powered home, business, or microgrid. The system prioritizes on-site solar and available battery storage, with grid power as a fallback to ensure uptime.
The server is securely connected to Ocean's distributed compute network. Enterprises rent compute capacity through the Ocean platform.
Customers run workloads on the system while Ocean handles customer acquisition, billing, monitoring, and operations end-to-end. Compute usage is metered automatically and revenue is shared with you monthly. You can track utilization, energy use, and earnings in a live dashboard at any time.
| Deployment | System Cost | Annual Revenue | Annual EBITDA (Y1) | Monthly EBITDA (Y1) | Peak Power Draw |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 5 Servers | $2,685,375 | $2,236,690 | $1,717,045 | $143,085 | 71.5 kW |
| 50 Servers | $26,853,750 | $22,366,900 | $17,170,450 | $1,430,850 | 715 kW |
| 100 Servers | $53,707,500 | $44,733,800 | $34,340,900 | $2,861,700 | 1.43 MW |
Year-one utilization assumes 612 hours per month for a total of 7,344 server hours annually. Usage is blended across on-demand, long-term rental, and spot capacity. Gross system revenue is calculated at a blended rate of $58.46 per server-hour, less a 20% Ocean platform fee, resulting in $46.77 net revenue per server-hour.
EBITDA includes estimated compute revenue and recurring data storage revenue of $1,200 per month per server. Fiber costs are estimated at $330 per month and are indicative only, varying by location, bandwidth, and scale of deployment. Power costs are calculated at $0.10 per kWh, totaling $875 per month per server. Multi-server deployments may require additional networking and infrastructure costs. Actual results may vary based on market demand, system configuration, site conditions, uptime, and pricing fluctuations. Ocean may periodically offer promotional pricing to accelerate customer adoption and long-term platform utilization.
Ocean installs, operates, and monetizes the system. You provide the site and power. Deployment and revenue sharing are governed by a standard partner agreement.
By hosting Ocean systems, your site becomes part of a distributed data center network built for modern compute workloads. This network extends traditional cloud infrastructure with distributed edge nodes that improve cost efficiency, resilience, and geographic reach.
| Data Center Model | Equity IRR |
|---|---|
| Traditional hyperscale | 12–15% |
| AI hyperscale | 14–20% |
| Infra-plus (hybrid) | 18–25% |
| Distributed / edge | 28–40% |
Distributed and edge data center models are typically underwritten at higher IRR ranges due to faster deployment, utilization-based revenue, and modular capital allocation. Ocean is designed to operate within this category, leveraging energy-adjacent sites and flexible demand allocation. All projections are based on modeled assumptions and comparable market behavior.
